Lauren's True Intention
George had thought Lauren wanted to make sure everything was in order.
But Emily had more information.
“I heard something else,” he said.
What?
“Mrs. Lauren mentioned a man named Daniel.
George recognized the name.
Daniel was the lawyer Lauren had recommended to review some documents.
“He said Daniel already knew what to do,” Emily continued. And he also said that after you signed some papers, everything would be much easier.
George slowly got up from his chair.
For months, Lauren had insisted that she needed to update legal documents.

The trap
George decided not to confront Lauren.
