doctor crouched down.
“Have you ever noticed that he puts his right foot down a little differently?”
I looked closely.
“No.”
Ben walked again.
This time, I saw it too.
The difference was tiny.
So small that I never would have noticed unless someone told me where to look.
The doctor examined Ben’s knees.
There was another faint red area around one knee.
But it wasn’t where Grandpa had applied anything.
“Did his grandfather put something here too?” the doctor asked.
“I don’t know.”
At that moment, the hospital room door opened.
My father walked in.
He was holding the same thick blue notebook.
I stood up immediately.
“What are you doing here?”
He held the notebook out to the doctor.
“Please look at this.” The continuation read in the comments👇‼️👇‼️
I almost stopped him.
But the doctor had already opened it.
The pages were filled with dates.
