Relaxing exactly as you had told me.
Instead, when I arrived, I saw him almost immediately.
He didn’t look like an exhausted man trying to escape the world.
I was smiling.
Laughing.
And next to her was a beautiful young woman wearing shorts and a white blouse.
Then Daniel casually surrounded his waist with an arm.
I felt my stomach sink.
For several seconds I could not move.
Then the woman came closer to him.
Daniel whispered something in her ear, and she smiled before resting her hand on her chest.
That was enough.
I came out from behind the wall and started walking straight towards them.
But when Daniel finally saw me, the color disappeared from his face.
